Dressing Up a Basic Tee

Hey Loves! Glad to hear about my surprise finally?! You guys should definitely go check out Modern Ego if you haven't already! Click on "Modern Ego" tab at the top of my home page! It is incredibly hot today! Big shoutout to my cousin Morgan for standing out in the heat with me to take these pics. You're the best love! I opted for a simple gray tee that I snagged at target for $5. I have been challenging myself to upgrade my wardrobe without breaking bank. One thing I noticed that I lack a lot of is the basic tee. Even though it is viewed as boring and blah, you can really dress these things up! Honestly a basic tee can be your new fashion and style bestie this upcoming season. On the blog I will be posting many ways to dress up a basic tee. From pencil skirts to distressed jeans to shorts you all are definitely in for a treat. There is bound to be something that you can find to work into your wardrobe especially when transitioning to fall! I decided to rock this gray tee with some distressed blue jean shorts that I scored from Old Navy a while back. I decided to give this outfit a sexy chic feel by adding these heels from Charlotte Russe. I LOVE these shoes! They're surprisingly comfy! I decided to give a little sparkle with the jewelry that I got from Charming Charlie's. (All on clearance might I add. If you've never checked out their clearance jewelry, you're missing out on life!) And of course my blue beauty by the one and only Gianni Bini! I love this bag because it is not too big, not too small, and it's the PERFECT shade of blue (Shoutout to my awesome sorority Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, INC.) It is so important to invest in basic staples from tees, tanks, pants and shoes! (Your future version of you will thank you later) It is so great and much easier to style your awesome OOTDs when you start with a basic staple and then create your so fabulously sweet outfits! Don't be shy! Post your outfits, mention me on IG (@Ososweetstormie) and hashtag SoFabulouslySweet so I can see your awesome creations! XO and Stay FAB! - Stormie

How to Make Metallic Work for your Office Wardrobe - Twirling in Rose Gold

"To dare is to lose one's footing momentarily. To not dare is to lose oneself." ~ Soren Kierkegaard

Hey hey sweetie pies, happy Tuesday! One trend that I am loving for Spring is the metallic trend. I am spying it everywhere from shoes to clothing to accessories. I raved awhile back about my obsession with this skirt that I got from Charlotte Russe. I love it so much that I had to feature it again on here! For this particular look, I opted to for a more work appropriate ensemble. I paired it with this ruffle blouse that I got ages ago from New York and Company. Even though this piece is no longer available, I linked some ruffle blouses just as fabulous as they are affordable below.

To keep it business casual, I opted to pair it with a blazer and my fave booties. That way you are still covered but fashionable. You can totally make metallic work for the office by letting it be the focal point and pairing it with neutrals. That way you won't be going overboard, especial…

How to Style - B+W Striped Dress 3 of 3 Ways

"We must be willing to let go of the life we planned in order to have the life that is waiting for us." ~ Joseph Campbell
Hey hey sweetie pies I am excited to show you the third way that I styled this dress from Rainbow. I opted to wear it tunic style with a pair of jeans and strappy heels. If the length is too long you can opt to leave two or three buttons closed and tie the ends of the shirt into a knot. It helps you  pull off that easy casual look. You can easily create variations of this look by swapping a few things. You can easily swap out the heels for some flat mules for the perfect casual spring outfit. Or you swap out the jeans for long distressed shorts with sandals for sexy casual look. Even though I have styled this dress 3 ways, the options are really endless. Make sure to check out the 1st or 2nd way that I styled this dress. Which look is your fave? 1, 2, or 3?! Leave your thoughts below I would love to hear!
