Back to the Basics

"Keep your heels, head and standards high." - Coco Chanel Hey Loves! In today's post I want to discuss an important part of every woman's wardrobe, basics. Now for those of you who may not be aware to what those are, I am going to break it down. Your basics are the most important part of your outfits. Now when I say basics I mean basic tees, tanks, jackets etc. I firmly believe that every woman should invest in good basic pieces. I would even dare for you to splurge on these items because these pieces are timeless. They can transition easily with each season and give you just the touch you need to complete your outfit. When it comes to basic tees and tanks it is important to have these in black, gray, white and nude. Pair these with skinny jeans and blazer and you're ready to go! You can also go the route of pairing it with a pencil skirt with fabulous glitzy accessories! So don't ignore those basic tees and tanks, indulge and be the fabulous queen you a…

Fun Weekend Pt. 2

Hey Loves! So today's post concludes the details of my fun weekend in New Orleans! So apparently I have been living under a rock because I had never been to an NFL game. (Don't judge me too harshly lolz) My awesome boyfriend offered to take me to a Saints game and of course I had to go. (Cowboy fans be nice lolz) I was so excited about going because I actually like football, preferably than any other sport. So Sunday funday called for mimosas, tailgating, music, screaming, magic, and football! (Perfect lineup huh?) As I prepared for the day's festivities I of course had to rock some Saints paraphernalia. I am rocking this jersey courtesy of my aunt Erika. Considering all the moving around that I was going to do, I figured I need to be as comfortable as possible. I opted for some simple jeans with sneakers. The humidity has been extremely ridiculous lately so I decided to keep my hair in a bun and go for a bold lip. So I felt that I was able to represent my fave team whi…

Fun Weekend Pt. 1

Hey Loves! I apologize for being MIA the past couple of days. I have had a fun, jam packed weekend. I have also been out of town for a little mini vacay with my bf. I thoroughly enjoyed myself. I had me a fun filled extended weekend. It first started with my Line sister Christy's birthday Friday. We celebrated with some of her closest friends, classmates and sorority sisters for a fun lunch. It was so great to see that all these people love and care for my line sister so much. I don't have many pics myself from the lunch but I had to share what I did. You have to excuse my pics, I was laughing the entire time! My line sister was saying some crazy stuff with her silly self! I opted for a simple but chic outfit with this blouse courtesy of my aunt Erika. I paired it with these jeans that I got from Delia's with my leopard pumps! You know Leopard is the new neutral for Fall if you ask me lolz. Later on that evening I was representing my sorority in a stroll off competition…

Life's Better With Sneakers

"I have often said that I wish I had invented blue jeans: the most spectacular, the most practical, the most relaxed and nonchalant. They have expression, modesty, sex appeal, simplicity - All I hope for in my clothes." - Yves Saint Laurent Hey Loves! Today's post is dedicated to my worn out pink Converse or Chuck Taylor's, whatever floats your boat. LOLZ I always wear heels but whenever I occasionally rock sneakers it's in a major way. I opted to wear my fave crochet shorts with this sleeveless blouse. I absolutely love blue jean jacket. It pulls outfits together so easily, especially when you're going for an easy casual look. Blue jean adds that extra flare without trying to hard. Pairing this outfit with my "Chucks" completed the look I was going for. I had so much fun creating this look. What's your fave denim item in your closet? Comment Below! XO and Stay FAB! - Stormie

Homecoming Season!

"People will stare. Make it worth their while." - Harry Winston Hey Loves! One thing that I love about Fall is that it's Football season and even better is that it is Homecoming Season! Even though my school has already had their homecoming, (GO WARHAWKS!) I consider Grambling State University practically my second home. My Blu and White family always show me so much love and welcome me with open arms whenever I am there. (One of the many things that I love about my illustrious sorority). Grambling State University celebrated their homecoming this past weekend and it was truly a party the entire weekend. I attended the step show Saturday night which I thoroughly enjoyed btw. (Congrats to my sorority for placing!) At events like these you always want to wear some Greek paraphernalia representing your organization. I opted to dress up this Zeta t-shirt with a high-low skirt with my fave strappy heels. I kept my accessories simple and classic with pearl jewelry. …

Pink n PEACHy

"Playing dress-up begins at five and never truly never ends." - Kate Spade Hey Loves! So we have been getting cooler temps here in good ole Louisiana. It is finally starting to feel like Fall! (Insert happy dance) One of my fave things about the change in weather is wearing more scarves! I absolutely love scarves in all colors and prints! I had a lot of fun creating this outfit and I was inspired by my fave color, PINK! I love all shades of pink from the sweet and demure soft pink to the bold and sassy hot pink! I am also a fan of pink's cousin, the color Peach. I picked this scarf that I got from Forever 21. I love not only the print but the cute tassels as well! I absolutely LOVE this look and I hope you guys do as well! What is your favorite color? Comment below! XO and Stay FAB!
