12 Days of So Fabulously Sweet : Day 9 : What to Wear : Travel Edition

"Poverty was the greatest motivating factor in my life." ~ Jimmy Dean

Hey sweetie pies! For the 9th day of So Fabulously Sweet, I wanted to offer some style inspiration for those travel days! With it being the holidays, some of everyone is traveling near and far to be with friends and loved ones. (If you don't have to travel, lucky you! But then again, that may mean your place is where everyone is meeting up at. :)) But believe it or not, I used to ALWAYS struggle with what to wear on travel days especially when weighing in certain factors. Factors including  the weather (from where you are coming from to where you are going), what you will be doing once you arrive (going to a party as soon as you land), and what is most important, style or functionality.

For this first look, this is all about comfort. This look is very laid back and casual while still looking put together. I wanted to offer plenty of layers so you that you can add or remove any of these that you like. This look is perfect if you are traveling by car and will be on the road for some hours. Comfort is definitely the most important thing here!

Maybe you are catching a quick flight and headed straight from the airport to meet up with old friends for drinks? Well this is the look for you! It is definitely stylish while allowing you comfort and warmth in the cool temps on and off the plane!

This look is ideal for you to "wear your bulky items so that you don't have to stuff it in your suitcase" outfit. (Don't tell me that you haven't been guilty of this at one time or another!) Especially when traveling my plane, the lighter your bags, the better.

I hope these looks inspired you and helped you out for your traveling needs. Where are you guys traveling to? What plans you have once you get there? Leave me a thought or two below!

How to Make Metallic Work for your Office Wardrobe - Twirling in Rose Gold

"To dare is to lose one's footing momentarily. To not dare is to lose oneself." ~ Soren Kierkegaard

Hey hey sweetie pies, happy Tuesday! One trend that I am loving for Spring is the metallic trend. I am spying it everywhere from shoes to clothing to accessories. I raved awhile back about my obsession with this skirt that I got from Charlotte Russe. I love it so much that I had to feature it again on here! For this particular look, I opted to for a more work appropriate ensemble. I paired it with this ruffle blouse that I got ages ago from New York and Company. Even though this piece is no longer available, I linked some ruffle blouses just as fabulous as they are affordable below.

To keep it business casual, I opted to pair it with a blazer and my fave booties. That way you are still covered but fashionable. You can totally make metallic work for the office by letting it be the focal point and pairing it with neutrals. That way you won't be going overboard, especial…

How to Style - B+W Striped Dress 3 of 3 Ways

"We must be willing to let go of the life we planned in order to have the life that is waiting for us." ~ Joseph Campbell
Hey hey sweetie pies I am excited to show you the third way that I styled this dress from Rainbow. I opted to wear it tunic style with a pair of jeans and strappy heels. If the length is too long you can opt to leave two or three buttons closed and tie the ends of the shirt into a knot. It helps you  pull off that easy casual look. You can easily create variations of this look by swapping a few things. You can easily swap out the heels for some flat mules for the perfect casual spring outfit. Or you swap out the jeans for long distressed shorts with sandals for sexy casual look. Even though I have styled this dress 3 ways, the options are really endless. Make sure to check out the 1st or 2nd way that I styled this dress. Which look is your fave? 1, 2, or 3?! Leave your thoughts below I would love to hear!
