Nail Colors for Spring

"The scariest moment is always just before you start." ~ Stephen King

Hey Sweetie pies! Many of you may already know and if not, it is indeed not a secret that I love to get my nails done! Getting my nails done is one way for me to treat myself for working so hard. The nail salon that I go to is awesome. I am immediately seated (even if I am a walk-in) and receive complimentary wine or soda, and they get started right away! There's usually a delay in the process because I make such a big deal when selecting a nail color.

I like to pick out a nail color that makes me happy the second that I look at it. I mean you will be looking at it for the next couple of weeks you might as well get something that you like! My current mood affects what color I pick. Sometimes I am in the mood for pink, sometimes it is red, it just depends on what I am feeling. Lastly the time of the year plays a role in my decision making. With us now transitioning into Spring the only colors that I can think of right now are PASTELS! This works out tremendously well considering Pantone's colors of the year Serenity and Rose Quartz.

I put together this collage of different colors that are perfect for Spring! If you want to add a little pizzazz to your mani, I encourage trying a glitter polish or a design. I like doing a glitter nail or a design on one accent nail. It adds a nice touch to an otherwise simple mani, without feeling too over the top!

How to Make Metallic Work for your Office Wardrobe - Twirling in Rose Gold

"To dare is to lose one's footing momentarily. To not dare is to lose oneself." ~ Soren Kierkegaard

Hey hey sweetie pies, happy Tuesday! One trend that I am loving for Spring is the metallic trend. I am spying it everywhere from shoes to clothing to accessories. I raved awhile back about my obsession with this skirt that I got from Charlotte Russe. I love it so much that I had to feature it again on here! For this particular look, I opted to for a more work appropriate ensemble. I paired it with this ruffle blouse that I got ages ago from New York and Company. Even though this piece is no longer available, I linked some ruffle blouses just as fabulous as they are affordable below.

To keep it business casual, I opted to pair it with a blazer and my fave booties. That way you are still covered but fashionable. You can totally make metallic work for the office by letting it be the focal point and pairing it with neutrals. That way you won't be going overboard, especial…

How to Style - B+W Striped Dress 3 of 3 Ways

"We must be willing to let go of the life we planned in order to have the life that is waiting for us." ~ Joseph Campbell
Hey hey sweetie pies I am excited to show you the third way that I styled this dress from Rainbow. I opted to wear it tunic style with a pair of jeans and strappy heels. If the length is too long you can opt to leave two or three buttons closed and tie the ends of the shirt into a knot. It helps you  pull off that easy casual look. You can easily create variations of this look by swapping a few things. You can easily swap out the heels for some flat mules for the perfect casual spring outfit. Or you swap out the jeans for long distressed shorts with sandals for sexy casual look. Even though I have styled this dress 3 ways, the options are really endless. Make sure to check out the 1st or 2nd way that I styled this dress. Which look is your fave? 1, 2, or 3?! Leave your thoughts below I would love to hear!
