Transitional Weather Skin Routine - How to Maintain Soft Moisturized Skin + Giveaway with BVSpa

"When we walk to the edge of all the light we have and step into the darkness of the unknown, we must believe that one of two things will happen....There will be something solid for us to stand on or we will be taught to fly." ~ Patrick Overton

Hey sweetie pies! I mentioned in my previous post about the inconsistency of the weather in Houston and how we are slowly transitioning into Spring. In that post, I mentioned how to style for such weather and I figured I should share my routine to help take care of my skin for this tricky weather.

Overall, my skin is pretty dry - even more with the cooler temps - so it is imperative that I have something to keep my skin moisturized. I shower and use this exfoliator from BVSpa once a week. It really keeps my skin smooth and soft. You squeeze it out of the tube (how ever much you desire) and apply it to the body. I rub it in until the sugar dissolves and becomes a milky consistency. It breaking down to this consistency is definitely great because I don't have to worry about it affecting my drainage system in my tub. :)

Afterwards, I follow with this body lotion which is amazing because it provides moisture for my skin without being too heavy. The consistency is great to use, even on warmer days! Sometimes lotions/creams are so thick to the point where it makes you sweat even more on warmer days but not this one! Also it comes in one of my favorite scents, lavender, mixed with rosemary - which gives it a refreshing scent. I have also come to realize that this lotion pairs well with 'Magic in the Air' body spray from Bath and Body Works. (Who would've thought?!)

I have become such a fan that BVSpa agreed to gift me an extra lotion/body scrub as a giveaway gift! That's right, one lucky winner will win this full size lotion/body scrub set + a personal letter from me! Also the lotion/body scrub is in my fave scent!
Entry is simple, just follow my Instagram Sofabulouslysweet find the picture above on my IG page and tag a friend in the comments.

3 Pros and Cons Being a Freelancer

"Expose yourself to your deepest fear; after that, fear has no power, and the fear of freedom shrinks and vanishes. You are free." ~ Jim Morrison ***Stock Image by Wonderlass***
Are you or have you ever thought about being a freelancer? The entire concept for most means freedom to do what you want. Setting your hours. Getting to sleep in. Working when you feel like it. While some of those are true, I think people get a false perception for what it's really like to be a freelancer. I freelance dance and write so I want to share some pro's and con's. These statements are my own opinions so I suggest taking it with a grain of salt.
Pros 1. You are ultimately your own boss. You can dictate what hours you work and how long you work for the most part. Being your own boss means independence and not having to answer to someone else.
2. You can work as little or as much as you want. Since you are your own boss, you can determine how many projects you take on at a time. Usua…
