Feeling Sexy in Chunky Knits! - Outfit Inspiration

"Art is the only way to run away without leaving home." ~ Twyla Tharp

Hey sweetie pies it is HUMP DAAYY! I hope this Wednesday is treating you well. For today's post I am back with my fave black pencil skirt (similar here and here). For this look, I opted for this open knit cable sweater for a more revealing look. I would wear something like this while going out in the daytime or on the weekend with my girlfriends. Pair with a beautiful bralette to peep through the sweater and you get that juxtaposition if you opt for a lace bralette.

This particular sweater is slightly cropped so it stops right above the waistline. Since my skirt is high waist, it went together perfectly! I don't like showing a lot of skin at one time so the sliver of my waist with the additional peep through was just enough! I feel super sexy in this look without exposing much and let me just tell you that I love that!

I definitely wanted to keep this look as casual and make something different from my last chunky knit with pencil skirt combo. Even though I opted for silver metallic heels similar I managed to keep the casual goal obtainable by throwing on this backpack purse with some sunnies from Charming Charlie.

**Fun Fact: I lost these sunnies while I was at my Alma Mater's college homecoming. I was out there tailgating and when I got to my Line sister's apt, I realized they were gone. I was devastated! Most of yall know that I LOVE sunglasses so when I lose or break a pair, I get upset! But it will be okay, just temporary materialistic things!**

Temperatures have dropped in Houston, at least for the time being so I will definitely be rocking this look soon! What city are you located and how is Fall looking there? Shoutout your city in the comments below so I can see where all my sweetie pies are at!

How to Make Metallic Work for your Office Wardrobe - Twirling in Rose Gold

"To dare is to lose one's footing momentarily. To not dare is to lose oneself." ~ Soren Kierkegaard

Hey hey sweetie pies, happy Tuesday! One trend that I am loving for Spring is the metallic trend. I am spying it everywhere from shoes to clothing to accessories. I raved awhile back about my obsession with this skirt that I got from Charlotte Russe. I love it so much that I had to feature it again on here! For this particular look, I opted to for a more work appropriate ensemble. I paired it with this ruffle blouse that I got ages ago from New York and Company. Even though this piece is no longer available, I linked some ruffle blouses just as fabulous as they are affordable below.

To keep it business casual, I opted to pair it with a blazer and my fave booties. That way you are still covered but fashionable. You can totally make metallic work for the office by letting it be the focal point and pairing it with neutrals. That way you won't be going overboard, especial…

How to Style - B+W Striped Dress 3 of 3 Ways

"We must be willing to let go of the life we planned in order to have the life that is waiting for us." ~ Joseph Campbell
Hey hey sweetie pies I am excited to show you the third way that I styled this dress from Rainbow. I opted to wear it tunic style with a pair of jeans and strappy heels. If the length is too long you can opt to leave two or three buttons closed and tie the ends of the shirt into a knot. It helps you  pull off that easy casual look. You can easily create variations of this look by swapping a few things. You can easily swap out the heels for some flat mules for the perfect casual spring outfit. Or you swap out the jeans for long distressed shorts with sandals for sexy casual look. Even though I have styled this dress 3 ways, the options are really endless. Make sure to check out the 1st or 2nd way that I styled this dress. Which look is your fave? 1, 2, or 3?! Leave your thoughts below I would love to hear!
