How to Style : Tassel Button Earrings - Collab

"Think like a queen. A queen is not afraid to fail. Failure is another stepping stone to greatness." ~ Oprah Winfrey

Hey hey sweetie pies, happy Tuesday! If you follow me on my social media platforms, then you would know that I collaborated with Lisa, owner of Arli Accessories, to host a giveaway for a free pair of earrings on last month. As a black #GirlBoss, I knew I wanted to support this business in whatever way I could. She makes all of her products by hand and can be customized based on the consumer's preference. Her jewelry is gorgeous so I knew when she sent me these tassel button earrings, I couldn't wait to style them! She offers these in a number of different color combinations and the best part? They are super affordable sitting at the pretty price of $10! You know your girl loves a good deal!
I admire that she creates all of her products by hand. (Your girl can only wish to be that crafty lolz) As a blogger, I definitely appreciate small businesses just as much as I appreciate retail stores. She is also a member of my sorority and we definitely believe in supporting our own!

I used the earrings as the foundation for my outfit and created my look around that. I started with this mini dress that I've had for ages. I then used my cropped jacket but wanted to style it differently. I felt like if I would've worn the jacket the normal way it would swallow my frame - especially my upper body, so I opted to wear it off the shoulders. To keep the jacket in place and create a silhouette, I buttoned the last button on the jacket. I was so surprised with how it came out! I am telling y'all creativity and thinking outside the box goes a long way when creating looks! Then I added these white caged heels to compliment the white tassels. To keep the look fun and give it a little personality, I opted for white sunnies and this ladybug clutch from last year. You can see another way I styled this clutch here. What do you sweetie pies think of this look? Yay or Nay? Leave your thoughts in the comment section below!

As always, XO and Stay FAB! ~ Stormie J

3 Pros and Cons Being a Freelancer

"Expose yourself to your deepest fear; after that, fear has no power, and the fear of freedom shrinks and vanishes. You are free." ~ Jim Morrison ***Stock Image by Wonderlass***
Are you or have you ever thought about being a freelancer? The entire concept for most means freedom to do what you want. Setting your hours. Getting to sleep in. Working when you feel like it. While some of those are true, I think people get a false perception for what it's really like to be a freelancer. I freelance dance and write so I want to share some pro's and con's. These statements are my own opinions so I suggest taking it with a grain of salt.
Pros 1. You are ultimately your own boss. You can dictate what hours you work and how long you work for the most part. Being your own boss means independence and not having to answer to someone else.
2. You can work as little or as much as you want. Since you are your own boss, you can determine how many projects you take on at a time. Usua…
