How to Combat Oily Skin When Wearing Makeup

"The world is full of magic things, patiently waiting for our senses to grow sharper." ~ William Butler Yeats
Hey  sweetie pies! Does any one struggle with oily skin, especially when wearing makeup? If you do, trust me you are not alone. I for one struggle with oily skin especially in my T-Zone area and it drives me crazy! While some prefer a "dewy" look when wearing makeup, I am ALL about that Matte life! When combating oily skin, the first place to start is skin care. For some, oily skin is a result of large pores which can be genetic unfortunately. But do not fret, because I am going to share some skin care products to use regularly to combat oily skin as well as some products to use when wearing makeup.
1. Skin Care: Magical Moringa by Lush Cosmetics Ever since I bought this product I have been in LOVE! It can be tough to find a moisturizer especially one that won't leave you feeling like an oil slick. But this product is so different, when applied to the …

My Life's Playlist : Songs I'm Currently Loving

“Some of us have great runways already built for us. If you have one, take off. But if you don’t have one, realize it is your responsibility to grab a shovel and build one for yourself and for those who will follow after you.” ~Amelia Earhart Hey Sweetie Pies, TGIF!!! Whoop Whoop! What is everyone doing this weekend? I am actually preparing to go to the movies with my boyfriend and some of his coworkers. We are going to see Deadpool. :)
When I think of the weekend, I think of fun nights with my boyfriend and my besties. I love having a girls night out (or in) jamming to some awesome songs. In today's post, I want to share some songs that I have had on repeat for the past 2 weeks. Some of these songs are by old artists but they are definitely goodies! While some other songs you have probably heard a million times on the radio. Make sure to give them a listen if you're not familiar or listen to them while getting ready tonight!

Wish List Wednesday : Designer Handbags

“Learn from yesterday, live for today, look to tomorrow, rest this afternoon.” ~Charles M. Schulz Hey sweetie pies! For today's Wish List Wednesday, I wanted to share some designer handbags that I want. I am in love with designer handbags. I am appreciative of the amazing quality, materials used and of course the design. I am sure that you will be able to recognize a few familiar designers.
One of my fave accessories is the handbag. I have always loved handbags ever since I was a little girl. My mom and grandmother would buy me little purses to take to church and school. When I reached puberty, I began carrying a purse all of the time and now at the age of 24 I can't leave home without mine!
One thing that I feel that every woman should invest in is a good handbag. One of high quality and one that you like. Now these handbags you see below may not fit your fancy but I am in serious lust over these handbags and hope to have one in my possession one day. Make sure to leave me a…

10 So Fab Tips for Relaxation

"To practice any art, no matter how well or badly, is a way to make your soul grow. So do it." ~ Kurt Vonnegut
Hey sweetie pies! Happy Monday, #1 most dreaded day of the week for most people. Just to be honest, today has been quite a day for me and somewhat stressful. (I don't want to get into too many details because that's not the point for today's post.) But despite having a rough day, I managed to stay relaxed and not get too worked up. Believe it or not, relaxing is something that comes hard for me. I am a "yes" person. I honestly overwork myself. I will go over and beyond for everyone. It's hard for me (and other people for that matter) to tell me to slow down. But over the years I have adopted some practices if you will that I want to share with you guys. These different things help me to unwind, refocus, rejuvenate, and de-stress.
1. Prayer/Devotion Reality dose, I am not always this happy go-lucky person you see on my blog. I get stressed …

Neutral Color Palette at Work with Layers

"I'll be more enthusiastic about encouraging thinking outside the box when there's evidence of any thinking going on inside it." ~ Terry Pratchett
Hello Sweetie Pies! Happy Friday! I wanted to share a look that was my go-to look for a while that I absolutely love! With cooler weather, I am all about layers. I started with this black polka dot dress which then took on a role of a skirt when I threw on this loose olive green sweater. Then I added this hat and boots from Charlotte Russe. (Boots are courtesy of Brandzaffair.) I threw on this scarf and necklace for a pop of color along with this tote. This look was great and easy to throw on and go. Once again, this outfit is a product of literally throwing some pieces on and going. I swear I come up with some of my favorite looks when I don't try to hard to think of my looks. I am also loving this color palette, such a great neutral look!

Have a great weekend sweetie pies!  As always, XO and Stay FAB! ~ Stormie

Wish List Wednesday : Let's Talk Sneakers!

“Some people feel the rain. Others just get wet.” ~Bob Marley
Hey sweetie pies! I definitely would not call myself a "Sneakerhead". I have about 5 pairs of sneakers and like 2 years ago, I had one pair. That one pair of sneakers was for dance and step practice lolz. But since then, my style has evolved and I look at my wardrobe and of course sneakers in a completely different way!
Much thanks to the style revolution and other bloggers who have showcased that you can still be chic and fashion-forward while wearing sneakers. For today's post I wanted to share some totally swoon-worthy sneakers from metallics to suede to monochrome. I seriously want to grab ALL of these sneakers for my wardrobe. I think these sneakers are great for dressing up, dressing down and athleisure.

Style 101 : Using Media for Style Inspiration

"For just one second, look at your life and see how perfect it is. Stop looking for the next secret door that is going to lead you to your real life. This is it: there's nothing else. It's here, and you'd better decide to enjoy it or you're going to be miserable wherever you go, for the rest of your life, forever." ~ Lev Grossman
Hey sweetie pies! TGIF! Whoop Whoop! There are so many ways to find inspiration for your personal style. Especially with social media sites such as Pinterest and Instagram leading the way with such awe-inspiring images. But I want to share with you the several different ways that you can use media to inspire you to define your personal style. Be mindful that I said inspire and not take because remember your style should be a reflection of you, not someone else.
1. Magazines There are so so many magazines out there, especially ones that cater to style and fashion. It is best to browse through them at Walmart before you buy them. I pe…

Galentine's Gift Guide

"Always dream and shoot higher than you know you can do. Don't bother just to be better than your contemporaries or predecessors. Try to be better than yourself." ~ William Faulkner
Hey sweetie pies! Happy Wednesday! I know some people don't celebrate Valentine's day like that or don't have a significant other to make plans with. If this sounds like you, this post may be perfect for you. So my best girlfriends and I are doing a Galentine's gift swap where we draw a name and get a gift for that person. I love the idea so much that I thought I would share it with you guys.
We set up a budget so that we don't have to break the bank and no one has a case of shopper's remorse because they went over and beyond to buy their gift but didn't feel like it was reciprocated. This idea is super fun to do with your friends. (I mean your friends are practically your soulmates anyway, am I right? Or am I right?)
I put together some gifts that are great gift …

OOTD : Laid Back Uniform

"Nothing ever gets easier. You just get stronger." ~ Unknown
Hey sweetie pies! Happy Monday! I hope you're off to a great and productive week! I know I am!
Today's blog post is about this easy laid back look perfect for the weekend or a day for running errands. This look was inspired by a look I saw on Demi Lovato awhile back in People Style Watch magazine. In her look, she rocked a black V-neck tee with cutout wedges. I opted to take this look down a notch by opting for a loose sweater in a dark color with sneakers. I was comfortable in this look but still managed to look "put together". By tossing the leather jacket over my shoulders and adding the felt hat, it added a chic effortless touch to the look.

This look is easy to recreate and make it your own. Swap out the sweater for a graphic tee, swap out the floppy hat for a leather cap or beanie, and swap out the leather jacket for a bomber jacket, Voila new look! What's your laid back uniform? Leave…

Style 101 : How to Use your Makeup as an Accessory or Foundation

"Most of the shadows of this life are caused by our standing in our own sunshine." ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson
Hey sweetie pies! I hope you all had a great week! For today's post, I want to share how you can use your makeup to amp up your outfit! Makeup seems to be taking the world by storm. Especially with the cosmetics industry working around the clock to bring hot, new and improved products constantly. If you are a real and true makeup junkie or just wear a touch of lip color for just special occasion, you can use makeup as an accessory or foundation for an outfit.

Got a bold lip color but have no idea what to wear with it? Use that color as a foundation to create a color palette around your outfit. I started with True Brown K from Kylie Jenner's LipKit. I personally like this dark unique color.
