Galentine's Gift Guide

"Always dream and shoot higher than you know you can do. Don't bother just to be better than your contemporaries or predecessors. Try to be better than yourself." ~ William Faulkner

Hey sweetie pies! Happy Wednesday! I know some people don't celebrate Valentine's day like that or don't have a significant other to make plans with. If this sounds like you, this post may be perfect for you. So my best girlfriends and I are doing a Galentine's gift swap where we draw a name and get a gift for that person. I love the idea so much that I thought I would share it with you guys.

We set up a budget so that we don't have to break the bank and no one has a case of shopper's remorse because they went over and beyond to buy their gift but didn't feel like it was reciprocated. This idea is super fun to do with your friends. (I mean your friends are practically your soulmates anyway, am I right? Or am I right?)

I put together some gifts that are great gift ideas and most (if not all) items pictured here are budget friendly.

Galentine's Gift Guide

I tried to cover gifts for all different personalities and preferences. The candle or decorative tray would be perfect for that friend that is a homebody or into interior decorating. If you have a friend that's a coffee addict like moi, then this Kate Spade mug is absolutely perfect for her! For that active friend who works alot, makes a lot of smoothies or juices, this monogrammed tumbler is so adorbz! For that friend that is ALWAYS on the go, shopping and/or traveling, this handbag or wallet is great for her! (And don't even get me started on that scalloped detail on that wallet, ugh yes PLEASE!) I have a bestie that loves anything with her initials on it so she would be head over heels in love with this monogrammed necklace. These necklaces are very popular with bloggers, especially if they have a preppy style. For the jewelry collector/fashionista that necklace or these convertible jacket earrings (which can be 8 ways) will be a total hit. These earrings are brand new and are already a big favorite. Of course I have this adorable planner for your organized friend and luxe faux fur phone case for the diva out of the group. (And trust me, there is one lolz) Makeup junkies will love this liquid lipstick set that is comes in 3 shades. And lastly, do you have a friend that's ALWAYS misplacing her keys?  Opt to give a cute faux fur pom keychain. I absolutely LOVE these things! I have one of my keys and I always have one on my purse. Super cute, super fun and I can almost bet you that she won't lose her keys anymore. :)

Have any plans for the 14th? If so, leave me a comment below. I would love to read all about them! I love you guys and I will see you back here Friday.

As always, XO and Stay FAB! ~ Stormie

"Never underestimate the power of dreams and the influence of the human spirit. We are all the same in this notion: The potential for greatness lives within each of us." ~ Wilma Rudolph

**I received samples courtesy of Derive Colognes to review. Even though these samples were given for my boyfriend David and I to review, all opinions are our own.**
As some of you may know I suffer from eczema. I first noticed I had eczema as a child and was able to keep it pretty much under control. Within the past 2-3 years it has begun to rear it's ugly head again. With all of the smog, the sweating, the heat, the stress, the fragrances and a number of other factors - it has ignited my eczema to where it is hard to use a lot of my favorite things. One of which is perfume. I love smelling good plus it helps to lift my mood. I usually prefer to spray it on my wrist and behind my ears but had to stop doing that. I then resulted to misting it on my clothes but that still would irritate my…

How to Transform your Simple Daytime Look

"I am a feminist, and what that means to me is much the same as the meaning of the fact that I am black; it means that I must undertake to love myself and respect myself as though my very life depends upon self-love and self-respect." ~ June Jordan

Hey hey sweetie pies! Today's post is a look that I have had in heavy rotation. I mean we all have that "no fail" outfit that we love to wear any and everywhere. It is super comfy and you still look put together. I opted for this cotton, slightly oversized button down and dark wash fitted jeans. I love wearing it with sandals for daytime, heels for nighttime and sneakers for weekend. For the daytime, I pretty much style it like I have here. I have just wore the shirt as is with my jeans cuffed. I paired it with this conv…
