#BossBabe Check-In + Announcements!

"Destiny is a feeling you have that you know something about yourself nobody else does. The picture you have in your own mind of what you're about will come true." ~ Bob Dylan

Hey sweetie pies, I hope you all are doing well! March is in full swing and the Spring season is around the corner. In some parts of the country, it is probably in your backyard! And with that being said, it is time to check in to your goal setting and accomplishments!

I am pleased to say that I am well on my way with my goal setting and accomplishments. I am hosting my first own blogger event tomorrow at Charming Charlie! It is really laid back and chill. (Didn't want to overexert myself with my 1st event...also I am rehearsing for a  couple of performances. No worries I will be sharing my experiences about those as well.) It is a shopping event centered around their spring arrivals and I am so excited!

I am also excited to say that I am performing in a showcase at the end of the month and I am a backup dancer for a local female rapper #GirlPower and that performance is on the 18th!

I will be sharing all the information for those on the blog very soon so if you are in the Houston area and want to come out, you will have all of the details. I haven't achieved many of my goals as I would like as far as dance goes. However I am performing and going on more auditions so I guess I actually am! :)
I want to remind all of my #BossBabes that even if you are not where you planned to be, that does NOT mean that it is too late! Haven't started yet? Start Now! Not as far as you would like to be? Keep Pushing! Some progress is better than no progress! If you get started, you definitely will not regret it. If you need an accountability partner, I will! Just email me at stormiebjones@gmail.com and I got you! We all need a sister who will not only support us, but keep us in line when we veer off-path or become complacent. #HappyInternationalWomensDay

I took blog pictures without makeup! I almost didn't want to share these pics. (Because in the blogger world, everything comes out picture perfect) But I reminded myself that I am beautiful with or without makeup! Just as beautiful as this dress that I snagged from Rainbow. I couldn't find this exact one but I linked a similar one below. I was able to find the exact same pair of pumps that I snagged at +Charlotte Russe. I linked them below!

Also, don't forget to check out my Giveaway post to enter my giveaway! It ends at 11:59 pm CST Sunday night.

As always, XO and Stay FAB! ~ Stormie J

"Never underestimate the power of dreams and the influence of the human spirit. We are all the same in this notion: The potential for greatness lives within each of us." ~ Wilma Rudolph

**I received samples courtesy of Derive Colognes to review. Even though these samples were given for my boyfriend David and I to review, all opinions are our own.**
As some of you may know I suffer from eczema. I first noticed I had eczema as a child and was able to keep it pretty much under control. Within the past 2-3 years it has begun to rear it's ugly head again. With all of the smog, the sweating, the heat, the stress, the fragrances and a number of other factors - it has ignited my eczema to where it is hard to use a lot of my favorite things. One of which is perfume. I love smelling good plus it helps to lift my mood. I usually prefer to spray it on my wrist and behind my ears but had to stop doing that. I then resulted to misting it on my clothes but that still would irritate my…

How to Transform your Simple Daytime Look

"I am a feminist, and what that means to me is much the same as the meaning of the fact that I am black; it means that I must undertake to love myself and respect myself as though my very life depends upon self-love and self-respect." ~ June Jordan

Hey hey sweetie pies! Today's post is a look that I have had in heavy rotation. I mean we all have that "no fail" outfit that we love to wear any and everywhere. It is super comfy and you still look put together. I opted for this cotton, slightly oversized button down and dark wash fitted jeans. I love wearing it with sandals for daytime, heels for nighttime and sneakers for weekend. For the daytime, I pretty much style it like I have here. I have just wore the shirt as is with my jeans cuffed. I paired it with this conv…
