4 Hump Day Hacks - How to Get Over Mid Week Blues

"Wake up with determination. Go to bed with satisfaction."

Happy Hump Day sweetie pies! I hope you all had an awesome day! Friday is on the horizon but until then, let's continue to grind it out! It can definitely be a struggle to get over that mid-week hump and even made worse to think that you have 2 more days to endure. But no need to worry because there are hump day hacks to get over your mid- week blues.

1. Do what you love.
Now while this may seem like an obvious and redundant statement, it couldn't be more true. If you are doing what you love, whether that's through your 9-5 or as a side project, you will have form of fulfillment and not getting lost in the shuffle.

2. Do what you can until you can do what you want.
You may not be at a point to do your hobby full time or maybe you can't afford that camera right now or to take that course. In that case, have your "bread and butter" job to help finance your passion until you get to a better place. You just have to grind it out.

3. Change your Mindset
Mindset is everything! It can dull or color the world around you. I definitely believe in the law of attraction. Speak what you seek until you see what you've spoken.

4. Make time for Self-Care.
I shared a video on my personal Facebook about this but long story short, make sure that you are replenishing your cup after pouring into everyone else's. Take time to do something that not only you enjoy, but something that rejuvenates you. There are a number of things that you can do such as meditate, take a bath, go to the spa, read or workout.

I hope you are able to apply these hacks next time you have the hump day blues. What are some things you do for self-care? I need some of your ideas/tips! Let me know in the comment section below!

As some of you may know I suffer from eczema. I first noticed I had eczema as a child and was able to keep it pretty much under control. Within the past 2-3 years it has begun to rear it's ugly head again. With all of the smog, the sweating, the heat, the stress, the fragrances and a number of other factors - it has ignited my eczema to where it is hard to use a lot of my favorite things. One of which is perfume. I love smelling good plus it helps to lift my mood. I usually prefer to spray it on my wrist and behind my ears but had to stop doing that. I then resulted to misting it on my clothes but that still would irritate my…

How to Transform your Simple Daytime Look

"I am a feminist, and what that means to me is much the same as the meaning of the fact that I am black; it means that I must undertake to love myself and respect myself as though my very life depends upon self-love and self-respect." ~ June Jordan

Hey hey sweetie pies! Today's post is a look that I have had in heavy rotation. I mean we all have that "no fail" outfit that we love to wear any and everywhere. It is super comfy and you still look put together. I opted for this cotton, slightly oversized button down and dark wash fitted jeans. I love wearing it with sandals for daytime, heels for nighttime and sneakers for weekend. For the daytime, I pretty much style it like I have here. I have just wore the shirt as is with my jeans cuffed. I paired it with this conv…
