October & November Favorites 2017

"When you know your name, you should hang on to it, for unless it is noted down and remembered, it will die when you do." ~ Toni Morrison

Hey hey sweetie pies! I hope all has been well! I have been trying out new products and have gotten new goodies since my last monthly favorites post. I have favorites for fashion, beauty and some new songs that I have been loving. Check out my favorites below.

I have been loving my Celine dupe "shadow" sunglasses. I snagged these beauties at Charming Charlie which are no longer available. I managed to find a similar black pair that definitely tops the cost for the real thing. A real pair of these Celine sunglasses will put you back $300+! I haven't been able to get enough these as I love the boldness as well as the style!
Ripley Aviator Sunglasses
I don't have a picture of these on the blog yet but I love the shape and style of these! They go perfect with any boho inspired looks that I create. I will make sure to do a look on here with them or share them on my instagram.

Marble Statement Earrings
I have been obsessed with structured statement earrings. Naturally these earrings aren't made out of real marble but the look is similar to real marble or black and white tortoiseshell. I have been wearing these earrings nonstop in November. I wore these on Thanksgiving and I shared a few photos on social media but I will post one on here as well. I also appreciate the minimal gold detail that you can see up close. I snagged these from Charming Charlie but unfortunately they are no longer available.

Too Faced Love Light Prismatic Highlight
I got this highlight a couple of months back and it is literally the only highlight that I have been using. I love love that it is "buildable" so that I can opt for a subtle sheen or a radiant glow! Plus I just love Too Faced's products and their packaging!

SONGS:
Games - Demi Lovato
Raise Hell - Sir the Baptist
Only 4 me - Chris Brown
Mi Gente - J Balvin, Willy William ft. Beyonce
Drowning - A Boogie with a Hoodie ft. Kodak Black
Feels - Calvin Harris ft. Pharrell, Katy Perry and Big Sean
Sexy Dirty Love - Demi Lovato

What have you been obsessing over lately? Let me know in the comments below!

Vegan Colognes: Are they Eczema Friendly? | Product Review - Derive Colognes

"Never underestimate the power of dreams and the influence of the human spirit. We are all the same in this notion: The potential for greatness lives within each of us." ~ Wilma Rudolph

**I received samples courtesy of Derive Colognes to review. Even though these samples were given for my boyfriend David and I to review, all opinions are our own.**
As some of you may know I suffer from eczema. I first noticed I had eczema as a child and was able to keep it pretty much under control. Within the past 2-3 years it has begun to rear it's ugly head again. With all of the smog, the sweating, the heat, the stress, the fragrances and a number of other factors - it has ignited my eczema to where it is hard to use a lot of my favorite things. One of which is perfume. I love smelling good plus it helps to lift my mood. I usually prefer to spray it on my wrist and behind my ears but had to stop doing that. I then resulted to misting it on my clothes but that still would irritate my…

How to Transform your Simple Daytime Look

"I am a feminist, and what that means to me is much the same as the meaning of the fact that I am black; it means that I must undertake to love myself and respect myself as though my very life depends upon self-love and self-respect." ~ June Jordan

Hey hey sweetie pies! Today's post is a look that I have had in heavy rotation. I mean we all have that "no fail" outfit that we love to wear any and everywhere. It is super comfy and you still look put together. I opted for this cotton, slightly oversized button down and dark wash fitted jeans. I love wearing it with sandals for daytime, heels for nighttime and sneakers for weekend. For the daytime, I pretty much style it like I have here. I have just wore the shirt as is with my jeans cuffed. I paired it with this conv…
