Top Tips for Easy Holiday Styling + OOTD

"I love making art...It's largely how I see myself. I'm an artist; therefore I have to make art." ~ Chuck Close

Hey hey sweetie pies, happy Tuesday! I hope you all are having an awesome day! I definitely have! It is 6 days til Christmas and I am beyond excited! There are so many things going on this time of year from parties to end of year reports to goal setting to shopping and everything in between! It is so easy to get caught up in everything that one of the last things you want to think about is, "what am I going to wear?" For today's post I figured I would share some outfit inspiration from my #OOTD last week as well as some 'no fail' tips on how to style this busy holiday season! I will be sharing my top styling tricks to dress easy, efficiently and fabulously - without having to spend a dime!
Tip #1- Start with something metallic
Nothing says the holidays like something shiny! Whether it is a shoe, handbag or clothing item - metallic is everywhere this season. Not to mention it pairs well with pretty much any and everything. Bonus: Opt for an all black ensemble with a pop of metallic and you are good to go!

Tip #2 - When in doubt, keep it simple
While this tip may seem redundant, this statement couldn't be more true when it comes to style. Opt for a monochromatic look where you can stand out while not overdoing it.
Bonus: If you're a fan of bold colors, try doing head to toe red! Red may be a little cliche' for the holidays but it is totally trending at the moment! Be star without all the extra shine!

Tip #3 -Try experimenting with texture
I know I have said this before but I will definitely say it again. Playing with textures is a surefire way to amp up any look. This is perfect time to try out different textures such as faux fur, leather, velvet and knit with the cooler temps.
Bonus: If you are having trouble deciding what texture to go with is velvet. Velvet is having a moment this season. Plus it is super glam and luxe.

Tip #4 - Try a bold eye look
Most of us opt for a natural eye look for everyday use but why not have some fun with your eye look this holiday season? Let your eyes do the talking at your next soiree and have some fun.
Bonus: Try incorporating some color into a smoky eye or perhaps try glitter or shimmer eyeshadows!

Tip #5 - Opt for Menswear Inspired Pieces
Menswear inspired pieces such as wide leg trousers or an oversized blazer are so chic worn separately or paired together. Opt for a crop top with a pair of high waist wide leg trousers and you have an awesome look that will definitely keep you in the spotlight!
Bonus: Wear an oversized blazer as a dress with pumps and some statement earrings and you are set!

What do you sweetie pies think of this look? I think it is perfect for a holiday brunch or a cozy dinner party. I hope you sweetie pies enjoyed my top style tips!

Vegan Colognes: Are they Eczema Friendly? | Product Review - Derive Colognes

"Never underestimate the power of dreams and the influence of the human spirit. We are all the same in this notion: The potential for greatness lives within each of us." ~ Wilma Rudolph

**I received samples courtesy of Derive Colognes to review. Even though these samples were given for my boyfriend David and I to review, all opinions are our own.**
As some of you may know I suffer from eczema. I first noticed I had eczema as a child and was able to keep it pretty much under control. Within the past 2-3 years it has begun to rear it's ugly head again. With all of the smog, the sweating, the heat, the stress, the fragrances and a number of other factors - it has ignited my eczema to where it is hard to use a lot of my favorite things. One of which is perfume. I love smelling good plus it helps to lift my mood. I usually prefer to spray it on my wrist and behind my ears but had to stop doing that. I then resulted to misting it on my clothes but that still would irritate my…
