September '18 Monthly and Weekly Layouts - Happy Planner

"We are all gifted. That is our inheritance." ~ Ethel Waters
Hey hey sweetie pies, I hope you all enjoyed your Labor Day weekend! It has been a busy past couple of weeks for your girl. (What's new?) I recently went on an audition (and booked it), my classes are increasing and I am working on some cool stuff for the blog. I totally promise. :)

The next couple of months are really busy ones for me and you know the planner in me had to get to planning, asap! Feel free to check out my layouts for this month in my Happy Planner. I have recently hauled a lot of planner goodies from Hobby Lobby, Michael's and Joann's. I have recently picked a few sticker books, notebooks, washi tape and pens. If you guys are interested in seeing that let me know! Also if you're a planner addict like me, comment below what kind of planner you use and why? I would love to hear your perspective!

One sticker book that I am obsessed with is the squad goals sticker book by MAMBI. I perso…

July and August Favorites 2018

"Success doesn't come to go to it." ~ Marva Collins

Hey hey sweetie pies! Your girl thoroughly enjoyed her birthday. Thank you so much to everyone who sent me well wishes or got your girl know who you are. ;)
One of my favorite types of blog posts/YouTube videos are favorites. I love finding out about different products and getting an honest review. These are some of the recent products that I have been using and loving lately.

Maybelline Lemonade Craze Eyeshadow Palette

I got this pallet earlier this summer. I loved the colors but I wasn't sure how it would transfer or if it would last you know? Sometimes drugstore brand eyeshadows aren't that pigmented and the color doesn't last. But this palette proved me wrong! I love this super pinky red color called ice pop! It is blend-able and you can build which I like. This color is so bold I rather it be a color that blends out nicely without being too strong. It has 4 shimmers and  8 matt…

Laced in Silk Tassels with Comfy Cardi : Collab with Arli Accessories

"It's a long old road, but I know I'm gonna find the end." ~ Bessie Smith
***I was gifted the earrings courtesy of Arli Accessories. All opinions are my own.***
Hey hey sweetie pies happy Friyay! Thank you guys so much for all the love on my most recent post. I really appreciate it! I am so supportive of small businesses, especially female owned. I have talked about Arli Accessories in previous posts and my obsession with her jewelry. Well my girl Lisa got some new inventory and it is everything!
One of which are these tassel earrings. I love the bold red and the flow of the tassels. The tassels are super soft and do not shed. The red and blue patterned stones go beautifully with the gold plated hardware.

I opted for a casual glam look with a hint of sexy. I have worn this lace bodysuit to perform in a couple of times but I've never been bold enough to wear it in public. I am so glad that I did! I felt so fabulous, eeeeoooowwww! This long cardigan is super comfy…

Vegan Colognes: Are they Eczema Friendly? | Product Review - Derive Colognes

"Never underestimate the power of dreams and the influence of the human spirit. We are all the same in this notion: The potential for greatness lives within each of us." ~ Wilma Rudolph

**I received samples courtesy of Derive Colognes to review. Even though these samples were given for my boyfriend David and I to review, all opinions are our own.**
As some of you may know I suffer from eczema. I first noticed I had eczema as a child and was able to keep it pretty much under control. Within the past 2-3 years it has begun to rear it's ugly head again. With all of the smog, the sweating, the heat, the stress, the fragrances and a number of other factors - it has ignited my eczema to where it is hard to use a lot of my favorite things. One of which is perfume. I love smelling good plus it helps to lift my mood. I usually prefer to spray it on my wrist and behind my ears but had to stop doing that. I then resulted to misting it on my clothes but that still would irritate my…

August Monthly & Weekly Layouts : Happy Planner

"I used to want 'She tried' on her tombstone. Now I want 'She did it.'" ~ Katherine Dunham
It is almost August, my birthday month! I am so excited and feeling positive vibes.  I have so many things planned from workshops to auditions to collaborations for the blog and so much more! With such a jam packed month, I did this entire month's weekly layouts in advance! I have really been in tune to my feminine energy and letting that radiate. That is definitely the reason why I am feeling super girly with these! In case it isn't obvious already, my favorite color is pink. I wanted to use a lot of pink as well as some blue. (my second favorite color)

For my planners out there, I recently got my hands on some new decorative and seasonal washi. I snagged about 12 of them for a dollar each. One of which is this gorgeous one on what I call "a monthly outlook" where I put important dates, birthdays and a little inspiration for myself. I like to think o…

What I've Been Pinning Lately

"When there is no enemy within, the enemies outside cannot hurt you." ~ African Proverb
Hey hey sweetie pies! One app I have been loving lately is Pinterest! It is definitely more of a search engine than it is a social media site. I personally love using Pinterest to create mood boards, inspiration boards and to find other creatives/bloggers. I can easily spend hours on hours browsing through my feed and boards for new things to pin. Like most, my Pinterest page is direct reflection of me and my interests. However, a few of my Pinterest boards have been booming and I have been obsessed with them! Check out my favorite boards below and if you have a Pinterest page, share it in the comments and follow hub going!

Self Care
You guys know that self care is something that has been super important to me. I used this board to share self care tips for others as well as for myself. There are some really good reads and some interesting activities suggested for self care.

How I Style Linen Fabrics for Summer

"Deal with yourself as an individual worthy of respect, and make everyone else deal with you the same way." ~ Nikki Giovanni
Hey sweetie pies! Happy Tuesday! For today's post I wanted to do something a little different from my usual #ootd. I wanted to share a classic feminine look. I definitely think it has a minimalist feel to it. I kept the pretty soft and neutral, which is different from what I usually go for. Normally I gravitate towards black and white in bold prints or bold colors. Plus I want to start showing a little more skin. I don't see myself a lot in the near future because that's not really my style. I will dress like that for performances but not so much on the day to day. I think a little reveal of skin here or there is sexy. At the end of the day, it's all about what makes you feel sexy right?

With this Houston heat, my daytime looks call for comfort. In previous years, I didn't own much linen, yet alone wanted to own some linen clothes…

Summer Style Inspiration Look Book 2018 Pt. 3

"In every crisis there is a message. Crises are nature's way of forcing change - breaking down old structures, shaking loose negative habits so that something new and better can take their place." ~ Susan L. Taylor
Hey hey sweetie pies, how is it going?! I live for fashion, regardless of the season. I love experimenting with summer fashion with fun and bold colors. Summer time is party time and why not let your look showcase that? If you haven't seen Part 1 or Part 2, feel free to check those out.  For part 3, I wanted to experiment with bright colors and prints in particular. Summer is the perfect time to experiment with bright bold colors - ranging from clothes and accessories to cosmetics. I also tried to incorporate some trendy accessories such as slide on mules and basket bags. I hope this inspires you to maybe try something a little outside of your comfort zone. Feel free to use my look books as inspiration, after all that's what they are here for!  Make s…
