Galentine's Gift Guide 2018

"The question isn't who is going to let me, it's who is going to stop me." ~ Ayn Rand
Hey hey sweetie pies, happy Tuesday! So you guys have probably noticed that my blogging schedule has been a bit off. (Honestly when am I ever on a consistent schedule?) My blogging schedule is definitely something that is on my priority list this year. One of my goals is to develop a blogging schedule and stick to it. Well after discussing with my accountability partner and considering my current schedule with all of my dancing, we came to the conclusion that the best days to post will be Tuesdays and Thursdays for now. I will be doing these blog posts on Tuesdays and Thursdays and I want to start posting videos again on my YouTube but I haven't worked that into my schedule as of yet.
Valentine's Day is right around the corner which means Galentine's Day is close and that's even better! I mean don't get me wrong, I love my boyfriend and all but there's noth…

Winter Look Book 2018 Pt. 2

"When everything seems to be going against you, remember that the airplane takes off against the wind, not with it." ~ Henry Ford
Hey hey sweetie pies, for today's post I am sharing part 2 of my winter lookbook! If you have not seen part 1 of my lookbook, you can view it here.  I will be sharing my creative thought process behind the looks as well as discuss some of this season's reoccurring trends. I hope you guys enjoy!

This first look is Pink Lady from Grease meets The Chanels on Scream Queens with touches of red. Starting with the flowy tulle skirt and the rich red ribbed sweater which made for the sweetest combo with the flirty red heels. Complimented with this shaggy faux fur coat to be draped over the the shoulders. Accessorize with this rose toned jewelry such as the watch and adorable earrings. Red sunnies to bring out that cheekiness and playful element along with this adorable handbag.

4 Reasons Why It is Important to just Start

"The most difficult thing is the decision to act, the rest is merely tenacity." ~ Amelia Earhart
Hey hey sweetie pies, happy Monday! A new week means a new chance. A new chance to take that new class or sign up for that course that you have been putting off. Sometimes we can be our own worst enemy when it comes to going beyond our comfort zone. A place where we can grow and thrive. We often can get in our own head with negative self talk or just plain fear paralyzing us and preventing personal growth. Whether it is that business, blog, podcast, campaign, organization that you are trying to start - the hardest thing will always be to just start. If you jump, you can figure it out on the way down! Today I am sharing 4 reasons why it is important to just start.

1. You'll never know if you never try.
As cliche' as it sounds, this statement couldn't be more true. You will never truly understand and acknowledge your full potential if you don't set yourself up to ex…

Winter Look Book 2018 - Trends to Try Now!

"Too many of us are not living our dreams because we are living our fears." ~ Les Brown
Hey sweetie pies! My apologies on not getting up a post on Wednesday. Due to the arctic blast that we have had here in Houston, my power went out and then my internet was out for 2 days! I know this post is extremely late but better late than never right? With so many hot trends at the moment, I couldn't waste no more time getting this post out! Check out my lookbook and some of the hottest trends below!
Puffer coats are being seen everywhere this winter. I think they are the perfect coat for an urban street style look such as the one below. I started with this cropped hoodie. Yours doesn't have to be cropped I just opted for this style. To create some juxtaposition, I paired it with this vinyl skirt - the pop of red and front zipper detail …

Transform Your Look with a Third Layer

"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by ones you did do, so throw off the bowlines, sail away from safe harbor, catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore, Dream, Discover." ~ Mark Twain

Hey sweetie pies, happy Friday!!!! I am so excited to share today's post with you. When it comes to style, there are a number of ways to elevate a look. Sometimes all it takes is one item to take your look from dull to dashing. For today's look I have this loose cotton long sleeved shirt with some black pants and booties. To take the look up a notch I added a "third layer". A third layer usually consists of some sort of outerwear. This usually pulls the piece together and completes the look. I have this slightly oversized gray blazer that I paired with it. I completed the look with marble hoop earrings, a long pendant necklace, my fave watch and the cutest sunglasses. This look can easily become work appropriate b…
