August Monthly & Weekly Layouts : Happy Planner

"I used to want 'She tried' on her tombstone. Now I want 'She did it.'" ~ Katherine Dunham

It is almost August, my birthday month! I am so excited and feeling positive vibes.  I have so many things planned from workshops to auditions to collaborations for the blog and so much more! With such a jam packed month, I did this entire month's weekly layouts in advance! I have really been in tune to my feminine energy and letting that radiate. That is definitely the reason why I am feeling super girly with these! In case it isn't obvious already, my favorite color is pink. I wanted to use a lot of pink as well as some blue. (my second favorite color)

For my planners out there, I recently got my hands on some new decorative and seasonal washi. I snagged about 12 of them for a dollar each. One of which is this gorgeous one on what I call "a monthly outlook" where I put important dates, birthdays and a little inspiration for myself. I like to think of my planner as more than just a planner. If it is something that I always carry, constantly writing in, constantly checking in, etc. I want it to be something that makes me happy to look at. Plus it does help me with those mundane and annoying tasks. You know, #adulting. I got a student sticker book that I immediately fell in love with once I skimmed through it. I was surprised when I found this at Joann's (I was sleeping on them).
I was totes geeked when I saw the sticker book had unicorns! Pages of them! I am obsessed with pretty much anything unicorn. I love this pink and gold washi so much that I decided to use it for my monthly layout. It is two of my favorite things, pink and gold foil! Of course I got a sticker for my birthday. :)
For my weekly layouts, I really just had fun with it and play with different colors. I started small with a sticker or washi tape then just built on it from there. I really happy with how they turned out. If you are a planner or a crafter, leave your IG in the comments so that we can follow you!

What exciting things do you have planned for the month? I would love to hear about any exciting news or to encourage someone! Shout it out in the comment section below!

Vegan Colognes: Are they Eczema Friendly? | Product Review - Derive Colognes

"Never underestimate the power of dreams and the influence of the human spirit. We are all the same in this notion: The potential for greatness lives within each of us." ~ Wilma Rudolph

**I received samples courtesy of Derive Colognes to review. Even though these samples were given for my boyfriend David and I to review, all opinions are our own.**
As some of you may know I suffer from eczema. I first noticed I had eczema as a child and was able to keep it pretty much under control. Within the past 2-3 years it has begun to rear it's ugly head again. With all of the smog, the sweating, the heat, the stress, the fragrances and a number of other factors - it has ignited my eczema to where it is hard to use a lot of my favorite things. One of which is perfume. I love smelling good plus it helps to lift my mood. I usually prefer to spray it on my wrist and behind my ears but had to stop doing that. I then resulted to misting it on my clothes but that still would irritate my…
